Fast Launch Digital
Community Operations Manager
Aug 2022–May 2025
Making a 500+ member paid community easier to navigate.
Fast Launch Digital was a paid crypto and finance education community operating across Discord and Telegram. Community operations was a one-person function and I owned it: access checks and onboarding through support, moderation, documentation and retention work, while the core admin team covered the other parts of the business.
The operating workflow combined self-serve welcome material, searchable FAQs and pinned resources with manual review for payment and referral edge cases. Early member check-ins gave me lifecycle signals, and evidence-led escalation kept support and moderation decisions consistent.
The largest single build was the member education library: a step-by-step walkthrough for each exchange members actually used, and portfolio guides banded by risk level. Giving the library a resource channel of its own allowed members to find answers independently and helped reduce repeated support requests.
Paid-member retention that I helped maintain through the 2023 downturn.

Designing paid access around verification and single-use invitations.
Printers Lounge is a private paid research community on Telegram, built around a one-time Stripe payment. I built the site on Lovable, configured the Stripe checkout and payment flow, and designed the access workflow that connects the two. I supported the October 2025 launch and now lead day-to-day community operations.
The flow verifies payment before issuing a single-use invitation, then moves each member through onboarding, access review and ongoing moderation. Payment exceptions and trust decisions stay with a person rather than a rule.
No recorded phishing or unauthorised-access incidents since the October 2025 launch. That is a time-bounded operating record, not a security guarantee: single-use invitations reduce unauthorised reuse, they do not remove every access risk.

Research and client education, before the community work.
Private investors brought me in to look at early-stage Web3 projects before they committed money. Each engagement ended in a written assessment: who was behind it, how the business was supposed to work, what the token did, what the roadmap promised, and where the security risk sat.
The job was really translation. Clients were putting money at risk on things they could not read, so every report had to make sense to the least technical person who would see it, and follow the same shape as the last one so two projects could be held up against each other. That habit is what the community work is built on.
02Operating approach
Operating approach
01
Make the common path self-serve.
Good onboarding and searchable answers reduce avoidable support.
02
Automate routine steps, not trust decisions.
Repeatable work can be standardised. Payment exceptions, access edge cases and trust calls stay with a person.
03
Document enough for a clean hand-off.
Clear rules and ownership turn individual effort into an operation another person can understand, review and run.
03Capabilities
Capabilities shaped by the work.
What I keep coming back to is the same question: can a member find the answer without asking, and can the next operator run this without me.

05Independent side project
Telegram Public Channel Monitor
A public Apify Actor and documented n8n companion workflow for turning recent posts from a public Telegram channel into a repeatable monitoring system.
The Actor reads one public t.me/s/ channel per run without a Telegram login or private-channel access. The separate n8n workflow adds scheduling, persistent state, cross-run duplicate prevention, keyword filtering and Telegram alerts.
Demonstrated run: 100 structured public-channel records in 9 seconds. One observed run, not a universal performance claim.

Working together
If your community is growing faster than the systems behind it, that is the problem I fix.
I take remote roles in community operations, member support and adjacent operations, plus a small amount of contract work with founders and small teams. Based in Sri Lanka, GMT+5:30. I plan overlap with AU, EU and US time zones as a role needs it, and prefer async, message-first work. Email is the fastest way to reach me.
